Electronic Payment

Valley Community Foundation grant program recipients will receive grant payments only via an ACH (Automated Clearing House). Distributions and grants payments will be made directly to an account chosen by the grant recipient via an ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfer (fees associated for using this new electronic system are paid by the Valley Community Foundation).

  • Organizations have found ACH has helped them save time with fewer trips to the bank and has eliminated the possibility of lost or stolen checks.

  • The Valley Community Foundation has found this way of making grant distributions saves costs and improves security for both VCF and grantees.

Grant recipients must complete the ACH form and return by email to Brandi Kryvonis, Disbursement Officer.

Publicizing Your VCF Grant

Upon receiving a grant from VCF, recipients are asked to publicize it. Below is the standard boilerplate describing VCF. Recipients are asked to include this in their releases, as well as to publicly acknowledge VCF support in social media posts.

Standard VCF Boilerplate

Established in 2004, the Valley Community Foundation distributes hundreds of thousands of grant dollars each year to support the local nonprofit sector and the people it serves. In addition to grantmaking, VCF works in strong partnership with The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, to promote philanthropy in Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton. To learn how your gifts of cash, life insurance, appreciated stocks, bonds, real estate, and other assets can help to support the quality of life in the Valley, please visit the website at www.valleyfoundation.org or contact VCF President, Sharon Closius, at sclosius@valleyfoundation.org or 203-751-9162.

Proper Identity Use

If you have received a grant from VCF and would like to use the VCF logo in your marketing pieces or on your website, please see the files below; if you would like to receive the logo in TIFF, JPG or EPS format, please email David Rivera.
